QPR confirm Gladwin’s return for run-in
QPR have confirmed that Ben Gladwin’s loan spell at Bristol City has been cancelled and he will return to the first-team squad for the run-in.
The 23-year-old was recalled earlier this month for treatment on a knee injury sustained during his time at Ashton Gate.
It restricted him to just one appearance for the Robins but he is now fit enough to play a part for Rangers in the final eight games of the season.
Boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told QPR’s website: “Ben wasn’t playing at Bristol City so it is better that he is here with us.
“We are heading into the last month or so of the campaign, and he is going to feature so that we can integrate him ahead of next season.”
Gladwin signed from Swindon Town last summer and returned there on loan in October after making just two league appearances for Rangers.
The former Hayes & Yeading man was recalled soon after Hasselbaink was appointed manager at Loftus Road, but although he featured in the FA Cup defeat against Nottingham Forest, he was promptly loaned out again.
