QPR are assessing Sandro’s latest knee problem and the initial signs are not encouraging.
The Brazilian midfielder had knee trouble prior to his summer move from Tottenham and struggled to regain his fitness during the opening weeks of the season.
He then went off at Southampton after suffering an early knock to the head and more recently was out with a groin injury.
And there appears to be grounds for concern after Sandro was forced off after an hour of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.
Worried manager Harry Redknapp admitted: “I’m not sure what Sandro’s done to his knee. That didn’t look great.”
Sandro’s latest injury comes as he was beginning to forge a useful midfield partnership with Karl Henry – a combination Redknapp is keen to continue with.

I've been a QPR fan all my life and god knows it's been tough at times. Once again we are witnessing a manager who can't manage at all. Mark H nearly killed us and Redknapp is on his way trying to do the same. He can't build a team, he can't coach and seems to be satisfied. And Fernandes claps his hands. Has the world gone crazy?
It's an improvement away from home but you must create chances.
At home recently that has not been a problem.
Team play better without Barton who needs to replace Henry or Santos.
Three similar players in midfield stifles any creativity.
Vargas was a big miss.
There is improvement don't get dispondent just yet.
Fortunately there is plenty of time to turn things around.
Keep the faith we need the Gods to show us a favour or two which will also make a difference.
Still a good performance away from home not that muck in the teams.GVS
