Southend turn down QPR’s bid for keeper
QPR have had a bid for Southend United goalkeeper Dan Bentley rejected.
Bentley, 22, came to the attention of higher-division clubs after his impressive displays helped Southend win promotion from League Two last season.
He is one of a number of keepers Rangers identified as a possible signing after being made aware that Crystal Palace were looking to sign Alex McCarthy.
With McCarthy having recently left Loftus Road to join the Eagles, Rangers are keen to bring in a replacement before the start of the new season.
