Chris Ramsey believes Tjaronn Chery is yet to find his best form for QPR despite the Dutchman’s impressive start to the season.
The summer signing from FC Groningen scored twice in Saturday’s 4-2 win against Rotherham – his first goals for the club.
But Rangers head coach Ramsey is convinced there is much more to come from Chery, 27, as he adapts to English football.
“The way he took his goals was fantastic,” Ramsey said.
“He’s got more to offer. To be honest, he hasn’t really played as well as we know he can.
“He’s key to what we’re going to do and he’s starting to get into playing in the Championship, which is a very tough league.”
Chery established himself as a goalscoring midfielder to be reckoned with in the Netherlands and was tipped to move to the Premier League prior to joining the R’s.
“He’s about scoring goals and creating goals,” Ramsey added.
“What he’s had to do, which I think he’s finding a bit difficult, is the defending part of it. But as far as his attacking I’m very pleased with what he’s produced.”
