QPR hoping Onuoha can play against Spurs
QPR are hoping Nedum Onuoha gets the all-clear to play against Tottenham on Saturday and spares them a potential problem at right-back.
Onuoha will be assessed ahead of the game, having been taken off during the first half of Wednesday’s defeat against Arsenal after suffering a facial injury.
He was hurt in an accidental clash of heads with team-mate Steven Caulker.
Teenager Darnell Furlong, who made his home debut against the Gunners, is struggling with a calf injury and Maurico Isla continues to nurse a knee problem.
“We’ve obviously got players that have picked up a few knocks,” said Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey.
“We’re just waiting on a few now, because Nedum’s got a big cut on his face, Isla’s knee is a little bit sore and I’m not sure if Darnell will make it this weekend as he’s got a sore calf.”
Adel Taarabt has been ruled out of the match against his former club because of a groin problem.
Rangers are also without the suspended Joey Barton.
Ex-Spurs midfielder Sandro is expected to be passed fit after returning against Arsenal following his latest knee problem.
