QPR have asked Crystal Palace about a potential swap involving Jordon Mutch and Eagles striker Fraizer Campbell.
The two clubs have been in talks over a possible move for midfielder Mutch, who has failed to make an impact since arriving at Loftus Road from Cardiff City last summer.
Rangers want around £5m for the 23-year-old unless they can persuade Palace to give them Campbell, 27, as part of the deal.
Campbell, who started his career at Manchester United and has had spells at Hull and Sunderland, played alongside Mutch at Cardiff and also left the Welsh club last summer.
He has made 17 Premier League appearances for Palace this season, scoring three goals. Five of those outings have been as a substitute.

Really? I thought Jordan Mutch was the future of QPR, or so 'arry said. Why sell him so soon?
