QPR have confirmed the appointment of Gary Karsa as head of academy recruitment as well as Andy Impey’s role at the club.
West London Sport revealed last month that Rangers were poised to bring in Karsa, who lost his job as head of football operations at Aston Villa in May last year following a club investigation into allegations of bullying.
He worked at Leyton Orient and Barnet before joining Paul Lambert’s coaching team at Wycombe in 2006 along with ex-Norwich defender Ian Culverhouse.
The pair subsequently moved with Lambert to Colchester, Norwich and then Villa, who also dismissed Culverhouse following their investigation.
Former QPR winger Impey, meanwhile, has been working with the club’s youngsters on a voluntary basis for some time and has now signed a contract as academy coach.
Impey made 226 appearances for the R’s during a seven-year spell as a player at Loftus Road.
