QPR have confirmed the signing of FC Groningen midfielder Tjaronn Chery on a three-year deal.
West London Sport revealed last week that move for Chery was being sanctioned after Rangers received a 20% windfall from the transfer of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool to Manchester City.
The 27-year-old was on QPR’s list of targets at the end of last season and the club activated the release clause in his contract before agreeing personal terms.
The deal was confirmed after the Dutchman came through medical.
An attacking midfielder with an impressive goalscoring record, Chery’s previous clubs include FC Twente and Den Haag.
A number of Premier League clubs have been monitoring him and Aston Villa recently approached Groningen but were unable to agree a deal.
