Rangers confirm signing of keeper McCarthy
QPR have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old, who had been monitored by a number of clubs, has agreed a four-year contract at Loftus Road.
West London Sport revealed on Friday that Rangers had clinched the signing despite late approaches from Liverpool and Tottenham.
It was later claimed that he had pulled out of the move to have talks with Liverpool.
McCarthy has made one appearance for Reading this season and 75 in total.
He has also had loan spells at Cambridge United, Aldershot, Yeovil, Brentford, Leeds and Ipswich.
