Fit-again Polter in contention for QPR starting place
QPR striker Sebastian Polter is in contention to start against Charlton after being passed fit for Saturday’s derby at Loftus Road.
Polter has been nursing a knock so was left out of the starting line-up for the midweek draw at Leeds, but came on as a first-half substitute after Jamie Mackie went off injured.
Mackie, who previously missed three months of the season, has been sidelined by another hamstring problem and could be facing another long spell out.
Tjaronn Chery is also in line for a return to the side. The Dutch midfielder came on as a substitute at Leeds and salvaged a point for Rangers with an 87th-minute penalty.
It was Chery’s 10th goal of the season and his sixth in his last nine appearances.
