Ramsey plays down Villa’s injury problems
QPR boss Chris Ramsey has played down the significance of Aston Villa’s injury problems ahead of Tuesday’s vital game.
A win for second-from-bottom Rangers would take them above Villa, who have a number of injury worries with the likes of Aly Cissokho, Kieran Richardson, Scott Sinclair, Ashley Westwood and Alan Hutton all currently receiving treatment.
But Ramsey said: “I think they’ve got good players anyway.
“I’m sure they’ll be able to fill those positions adequately. I don’t think Villa’s injuries will be an advantage or a disadvantage for us.”
QPR have their own injury problems. They have been without Richard Dunne and Leroy Fer, while Eduardo Vargas has been ruled out for the rest of the season and Yun Suk-Young will also miss out after both players picked up injuries in Saturday’s 4-1 win at West Brom.
