Luongo among QPR’s injury worries

QPR are likely to be without a number of players for the New Year’s Eve match against Wolves.

Steven Caulker is unavailable and Nedum Onuoha is suspended after Rangers’ appeal against the skipper’s red card at Brighton was rejected.

Tjaronn Chery and Sebastian Polter missed that game and could be absent again, while Massimo Luongo is nursing a groin problem and faces a late fitness test.

In addition, Jordan Cousins continues to be affected by hamstring trouble and is also a doubt.

And Rangers will be short of defensive options if Joel Lynch is not passed fit following a rib injury.

Lynch is expected to travel with the squad to the Midlands but Rangers are unsure whether he will be able to play.
