Mauricio Isla is a major doubt for QPR’s trip to Hull after picking up a knee injury.
The Chilean is due to be assessed on Friday to see whether he is fit enough to join a Rangers squad that will include top scorer Charlie Austin, who has recovered from the foot injury which ruled the striker out of the recent win at Sunderland.
Caretaker manager Chris Ramsey has had to contend with injury worries since taking charge – Leroy Fer and Richard Dunne are out with knee problems and a hamstring injury has sidelined Nedum Onuoha.
Sandro, meanwhile, is still unavailable following the knee injury he suffered during the defeat at Newcastle in November.
“Sandro is still in the conditioning phase but he is getting better every day,” Ramsey said.
“We want to be very cautious with him because the last thing we want is for him to break down and be out for the grandstand finish to the season.”
He added: “I’m happy to say that Charlie is fit for the weekend. The staff have worked really hard to get him fit, so we’re happy with that.”
