Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink admitted he was stunned by QPR’s dismal performance against Fulham and could not explain their 3-1 defeat.
Rangers were blitzed by three first-half goals in a one-sided west London derby at Loftus Road, where Ross McCormack, Moussa Dembele and Tom Cairney scored for the visitors.
Substitute Tjaronn Chery netted a last-minute consolation for Hasselbaink’s team, who were unbeaten in their previous five matches.
Asked why Rangers had performed so poorly, manager Hasselbaink said: “I don’t know. I will have to watch the video and review it.
“What I do know is that it was not acceptable. The fans deserve better and we deserve better to ourselves.
“We had put the standard down in the previous matches and this was well under that standard. We were making steps forward and I didn’t see this coming at all.
“It’s two steps back. It’s now about starting again, getting things right, taking responsibility and starting to look at ourselves again.
“I’m not going to single out individuals. We are a team, and as a team were we well under par.”
Rangers, beaten 4-0 at Fulham in September, were booed by the home fans at half-time and on occasions during the second half.
Hasselbaink said: “They were getting frustrated. It is what it is. Do I like it? No. Do I want them to cheer on our players? Yes of course.
“Will getting behind the players help them play better instead of booing them? Yes. But I understand their frustration.
“Do I say they should do it (boo)? No. We need their support until the last minute. I have asked for that and will keep on asking for that.
“They have to be our 12th man even when things are not going right. They can lift the players. But we know how it is. Hopefully in the next match we can put it right.”

JFH is right to ask fans to cheer instead of boo, however that performance was a completely different situation.
QPR were so poor and (apart from Mackie) just rolled over, at home, in a derby game. Just wasn't good enough and we've put up with too much of that sort of thing over the past few years.
I watched on sky with huge disappointed I felt sorry for those in the cold at Loftus road. There was no idea Fulham constantly won every ball. Jamie mackie only one with any heart no midfield no defence. You better get it right in next game jfh or you have ill be another name on huge list of ex managers. Shame it just feels they will never get it right
If JFH cannot see how bad the centre midfield are then he should not manage. Same pass from Fulham through our defence all game left us open. Why doesn't he play Chery? So much for our director of football. Top former players can't always spot top talent and we have proved that.

Wrong tactics played into Fulham plan. Full backs were pushed to deep buy their full backs. JFH did not know how to change the formation to counter Fulham style. No good analysing after need to adapt team if not going well see mourinio, pep wenger handbook. It's as much the management responsibility as it is the players. Wrong team wrong tactics. Step up or step back to div 1
I could see it - why couldnt he? Own up. JFH screwed up and most players in team couldn't give a stuff.
We have a captain who is not a Leader so he cannot Lead.
We have a team with still too players who are happy to go through the motions but not fight for the badge.
We made Fulham look like top 4 Premiership.
