Hasselbaink hails QPR captain Onuoha

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has hailed Nedum Onuoha, insisting the QPR captain is leading by example.

Onuoha, who scored the winner at Wigan on Saturday, recently told West London Sport he is the right man to be Rangers skipper and that more vocal players on the pitch are merely looking to impress fans.

And manager Hasselbaink says he has no doubt that Onuoha is the right choice as captain.

“He’s a gentleman and he brings calmness, professionalism and he’s a good defender,” Hasselbaink said.

“He leads and sets the right example, with no fuss about it.

“He does his job, does the work and more. He takes people with him.”
