Barnsley have made an offer for QPR defender Cole Kpekawa.
The 20-year-old, a product of Rangers’ youth system, is likely to find his first-team opportunities limited this season and the Tykes’ offer is therefore being considered.
He has made nine senior appearances for QPR, the most recent coming in this month’s EFL Cup game against Swindon.
Kpekawa has also had spells on loan at Portsmouth, Colchester and Leyton Orient.
Meanwhile, QPR have missed out on the signing of Swansea City winger Modou Barrow.
