QPR reject offer from Millwall for Smith
QPR have turned down an initial offer from Millwall for Matt Smith but talks between the two clubs are ongoing.
Millwall boss Neil Harris has long been keen on the former Fulham striker, who has a year remaining on his contract at Loftus Road.
Harris wanted to sign Smith, 30, in January and is looking to complete a deal to snap him up this summer.
There is every expectation that Smith will leave Rangers along with keeper Matt Ingram, who could join Hull City.
Meanwhile, QPR have rejected an offer from Sheffield United for Luke Freeman.
And R’s boss Mark Warburton is looking to seal the loan signings of at least two youngsters on loan from Premier League clubs.
