Sheffield United complete signing of Freeman
Sheffield United have broken their transfer record to complete the signing of Luke Freeman from QPR.
The fee is undisclosed but is greater than the then club-record £4m United paid Brentford for defender John Egan a year ago.
West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers had rejected an offer of around £4m for Freeman, who moved to Loftus Road from Bristol City in January 2019.
Negotiations continued and a deal was agreed on Tuesday for Freeman, 27, to join the promoted club.
The transfer was formally completed on Wednesday afternoon, with Freeman signing a three-year contract.

LF to the premiership – it had to happen if not for the benefit of the player, it helps lower the crazy wage bill (I read it was £68M at one stage) who WAS the idiot who thought our club with its miniscule stadium capacity could support that?
Anyway, Luke should do very, very well at Sheffield. We may even see him in a 3 lions shirt eventually.
