Tom Carroll has returned to training with QPR.
The midfielder, on a season-long loan from Tottenham, went back to White Hart Lane for treatment after suffering an ankle injury while playing for the England Under-21s last month.
But he is now with Rangers again after being given the green light to train and his fitness will be assessed later this week.
His return is a boost for the club, particularly as Alejandro Faurlin will miss the rest of the season after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage for the second time in less than two years.
Carroll, 21, picked up his injury just as he was finding his feet at Loftus Road after a difficult start to his loan spell.
His last appearance for the R’s came when he starred in their 2-0 win at home to Barnsley on 5 October.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp has indicated that he will try to sign Carroll on permanent basis if Spurs are willing to let him go at the end of the campaign.
