Recent signing Sam Field will be included in the QPR squad for Wednesday’s local derby against Brentford.
The midfielder has been building up his fitness and is yet to play since his loan move from West Brom.
Field would not have featured had Saturday’s game at Rotherham, which was postponed because of a frozen pitch, gone ahead.
He has since resumed full training and is now in contention for his Rangers debut.
Jordy de Wijs, who has also not played since his move to west London, is still not ready following a calf problem.
But the Dutch defender is training with the squad and is currently expected to be passed for Saturday’s game at home to Bournemouth.
“Jordy’s almost there. He’s training with us,” said Rangers manager Mark Warburton.
“I’d imagine this game is probably a couple of days too early for him.
“Sam is fit and well and training very well indeed, so he’ll be in the squad, without a doubt.”
Meanwhile, QPR defender Conor Masterson could be out for three months after suffering hamstring injury while on loan at Swindon Town.
