QPR manager Harry Redknapp says the club have no intention of offering new contracts to players before the end of the season.
Skipper Clint Hill, popular midfielder Alejandro Faurlin and in-form goalkeeper Rob Green are among those whose deals expire next summer.
Faurlin has made it clear he would re-sign rather keep his options open were he offered new contract sooner rather than later.
But Redknapp insists their futures will not be decided until promotion-chasing Rangers know which division they will be in next term.
He said: “I don’t think you can [offer new contracts] when you’re in the Championship.
“You’ve got to wait and see what happens, so you can’t be offering people new deals. If we get up it’s a different game, then you can look at it.
“At the moment you can’t be giving people big deals because we’ve got to look carefully at the money we spend on wages next year, depending on what league we’re in.”
