Transfer gossip: Mail say Massey is wanted by Forest as well as QPR

Some of the recent transfer speculation involving QPR…

Wigan have opened contract talks with Gavin Massey amid interest in the winger from QPR and Nottingham Forest, the Mail say.

Massey’s current deal is due to expire this summer and he is among several wingers QPR have looked at as a possible alternative to Pawel Wszolek, whose contract also expires this year.

The Mail say Forest are also interested in the 26-year-old and that Wigan are keen to keep him.

Meanwhile, there continues to be speculation over the future of Luke Freeman.

London Football News claim Middlesbrough remain interested in the QPR playmaker and could compete with Leeds to sign him this summer.

West London Sport revealed last year that Middlesbrough wanted Freeman and subsequently revealed Rangers had rejected offers for him from the Teesside club.

Talksport recently claimed that Leeds are interested in Freeman and his QPR team-mate Ebere Eze.

Sport Witness notes that newspapers in Portugal have reported that a QPR scout has recently wanted two matches there.

Rangers had a representative at Porto’s game against Marítimo and a match between Benfica and Moreirense.
