A number of clubs have expressed an interest in taking young QPR keepers Joe Walsh and Murphy Mahoney on loan.
Walsh, 20, was among those sidelined last season as Rangers endured a goalkeeper injury crisis.
It meant Mahoney, also 20, made two first-team appearances towards the end of the campaign.
Mahoney has since been given a new contract and is expected to be loaned out.
A decision on whether to also allow Walsh out on loan will be taken once Jordan Archer is assessed after returning to full training.
Archer is close to recovering from the shoulder injury he suffered while saving a penalty during a shoot-out against Rotherham in the FA Cup in January.
Boss Mick Beale is keen to see Archer in action before making a decision on Walsh.
Meanwhile, Rangers are set to table a significantly improved bid in an attempt to sign Millwall right-back Danny McNamara.
McNamara, 23, has entered the final year of his contract and Rangers are looking to snap him up if he does not sign new deal.
Their initial offers have been rejected by Millwall, whose manager Gary Rowett has told the South London Press that QPR are currently a long way short of prising McNamara away from The Den.
But Rangers will now up the ante in their pursuit of the former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.
The situation is somewhat comparable to their pursuit of Macauley Bonne in 2020, when Charlton flatly rejected initial bids and strongly believed there was no prospect of a deal, before receiving a vastly improved offer.
However, Charlton were open to selling Bonne, whereas Millwall are keen for McNamara to stay.
Potential loan signings from Premier League clubs have been earmarked as back-up options should Rangers be unable to land McNamara.
“I think there has been a couple of offers [from QPR]. First and foremost Danny is our player and we want him to continue to be our player - he has developed really well,” said Rowett.
“For me, when you have got a young player who has done really well you want them to progress and be part of your plans. He’s a player the fans like a lot and we like a lot – you don’t want those sort of players to leave.
“It’s an interesting one really because of the level of the bids. I wouldn’t bid for a QPR young player for that sort of amount, because it’s not even going to be close to any kind of valuation.
“At this moment in time I can’t imagine that changing. We want Danny McNamara to be our player and to develop and move forward with us. It’s a bit of a non-story, if I’m being honest.
“My focus is on Danny signing his contract. He’s been offered a good deal by the club and hopefully he’ll sign that contract soon.”
South Londoner McNamara is a product of Millwall's academy and has impressed since breaking into the first team.
He has made 55 appearances for the Lions, with 38 of them coming last season.
Rangers are also looking to complete deal to bring in Brighton midfielder Taylor Richards.
The Hammersmith-born 21-year-old was on Fulham’s books and then had a spell at Manchester City before joining Brighton in 2019.
He spent last season on loan at Birmingham, having spent the previous campaign on loan at Doncaster.
Richards is under contract at Brighton until 2024.
QPR want to sign him on a permanent deal or on loan with a view to a permanent move.
Beale is keen to bring in midfielder, right-back and at least one striker before the Championship season gets under way.
Rangers are not currently looking to sign Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin, who has been linked with a potential move to W12.
