It’s claimed that Crystal Palace are lining up a move for QPR forward Ebere Eze.
HITC is among number of websites to have picked up on the Daily Star suggesting that Palace could target a deal for Eze during this month’s transfer window.
Eze, it is claimed, is being chased by Palace after the collapse of their proposed loan signing of former striker Chelsea Dominic Solanke, who was subsequently bought from Liverpool by Bournemouth.
Eze, who signed a three-year contract at Loftus Road in August, has caught the eye for Rangers in the Championship this season, increasing speculation that he could be snapped up by another club.
West London Sport revealed last season that Palace and Brighton were monitoring Eze, who had impressed while on loan at Wycombe before also doing well when given a chance in the QPR side.
Eagles sporting director Dougie Freedman and Brighton scout Ian Pearce were at Loftus Road to see Rangers beat Norwich 4-1 last April.
They were there primarily to watch James Maddison, who later left Norwich for Leicester, but were also keen to take a look at Eze, having heard good things about QPR’s young forward.
Based on that West London Sport story, Eze has subsequently been linked with Palace on several occasions.
However, while he is among a host of players Palace have continued to monitor, there has no far been no indication at all that they are looking to sign him.
