Ian Holloway has suggested that Ariel Borysiuk could yet have a future at QPR.
The Polish midfielder, signed from Legia Warsaw a year ago, failed to impress manager Holloway last season and joined Lechia Gdańsk on loan in January.
Rangers have been looking to offload him on permanent basis and are keen to bring in another defensive midfielder.
But Holloway says he was impressed with Borysiuk’s performance during Saturday’s pre-season friendly at Peterborough and might not need to bring in an alternative after all.
“I thought Ariel did really well,” said Holloway, who wants to make a number of signings in the next couple of weeks.

“I had to make some decisions last year and I’ve said to him ‘If you come back and pass it the way I want you to do and run around the pitch a bit…’
“He showed me that he wants to play for this club. What more can I ask? Hopefully that might solve a few things if I can get him in there as well.”
Grant Hall is being assessed after missing the game at Peterborough because of tendonitis.
Jordan Cousins and Sean Goss also missed the match and defender Joel Lynch, who has been nursing a knock, featured after coming through a fitness test.
Cousins is being slowly eased back after a long-term thigh problem, while Goss was also left out on the advice of the Rangers medical staff.
“We’ve had Hally pulled out yesterday and I almost didn’t have Lynchy as well,” Holloway explained.
“We’ve protected Jordan and Gossy we’ve protected as well. Jordan has worked so hard during the summer to get himself fit.”
The Rangers squad will travel to Germany next week for friendlies against FC Union Berlin and Lokomotive Leipzig.

why are we the only club NOT looking to strengthen instead of recruiting,WE are looking to sell players, have the people at the club any idea what they are doing???????
If the Polish lad is doing the right things :& the rest are confident with him maybe it's better to keep him
Let's be fair we need to have a better defence this season Smithies might be a great keeper but look at those he didn't stop if only a defender stopped the attack on 12 of those goals against& Smithies was able to stop 6 others we could have had a much different season
Borysiuk has suddenly emerged as a superstar ever since Holloway was told he wasn't getting any money for transfers.IH the wimp won't dare say anything to the owners lest they sack him.
