QPR youngster Tom Hitchcock wants to go back out on loan.
The 21-year-old striker scored three times during a loan spell at Bristol Rovers last season.
He has since scored on his league debut for Rangers – last-gasp winner against Ipswich in August – but accepts his short-term future probably lies away from Loftus Road.
Hitchcock explained: “I want to go [out on loan]. I want to play football.
“That’s all I want to do really, play as much as I can and score as much as I can.
“Whether that will be playing here or going out on loan, I think I’m going to be able to do that soon hopefully.
“I’ve got to keep working hard and see what happens. It’s just been a great experience being involved with the first team.”
Forwards Andy Johnson and Javier Chevanton featured for Rangers’ development side against Brentford on Tuesday, meaning Hitchcock played in an unfamiliar midfield role.
“It was tough in there and I haven’t really played in midfield before, but you’ve got to do a job for the team and just get on with it,” he said.
“It was a tough game, but I thought all the lads did really well – everyone worked really hard,
“The difference is when you have players like Chevanton and Johnson up front, put the ball to them both and they’ll finish it. They’re very good players.”
