Ian Holloway believes reducing the size of QPR’s squad would help the club’s younger players progress.
Rangers think they will be able to offload Yeni Ngbakoto and Steven Caulker during the January transfer window and that vague interest in Idrissa Sylla could lead to an offer being received.
Sean Goss is another player surplus to requirements, but the midfielder was not keen on loan move during the summer transfer window.
Selling Sylla or finding a club for the highly-paid Caulker might enable Rangers to bring in another striker, otherwise Financial Fair Play restrictions mean one or two loan signings will be the most they can expect next month.
Manager Holloway also believes trimming the squad might lead to more opportunities for the likes of Bright Osayi-Samuel and Aramide Oteh.
Osayi-Samuel, signed from Blackpool during the summer, played up front with Sylla in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Bristol City.
And 19-year-old forward Oteh, who was previously on Tottenham’s books, was given a place on the substitutes’ bench after impressing for Rangers’ development side.
“I’ve got some young ones who I’m very excited about, but in this window I’m going to have to try and make it a lot easier, because there are far too many numbers,” Holloway said.
“Aramide, I’m delighted with what he’s done in training recently – really exciting.
“Bright-Samuel, I put him up front. He doesn’t know what to do there yet but he scared them to death.”

IH scares me to death.
We want Holloway out not the players or we are going down. Bring in tim sherwood a young manager with good ideas. The odd win or draw just papers over the cracks,why should we settle for this we are QPR!
