QPR have confirmed the signing of Paul Smyth from Linfield.
West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers had made an offer for Northern Ireland Under-21 forward Smyth, 19, and subsequently revealed that deal had been agreed in principle.
Smyth has signed a two-year contract at Loftus Road and will initially play for QPR’s development side.
“He’s a young, talented kid who we really feel can develop at QPR,” director of football Les Ferdinand told the club website.
“We feel that he’s capable of pushing for a place in and around the first team.”
Meanwhile, the R’s have made an approach for Exeter City winger David Wheeler.
