Grant Hall has been passed fit to join the QPR squad for this weekend’s trip to Birmingham following his recent return to action.
Hall previously suffered setbacks after returning to training and playing for Rangers’ Under-23 side, increasing fears that he would require surgery for a persistent knee problem.
But he has suffered no such reaction since coming on as substitute against Leeds last Saturday and is in contention for the Birmingham game.
Hall, 26, told West London Sport this week that his injury has been the lowest point of his career so far.
With Alex Baptiste back from suspension and captain Nedum Onuoha having played the full game against Leeds after nearly three months out with a hamstring injury, Rangers’ problems in defence appear to be easing.
They also hope James Perch, who is training again following a knee injury, will soon return to action as well.
“Hally hasn’t shown any reaction following his return last weekend from the bench and Nedum came through the 90 minutes unscathed last weekend,” boss Ian Holloway told the club website.
“Perch is still a good few weeks away, but we’re getting a few back now.”
