QPR are still not completely safe from relegation after losing 2-1 at Bristol City. Here’s how we rated each player in Rangers’ fourth defeat in a row.
Could do nothing about either City goal. Unusually for Smithies, his distribution was poor at times.
Had a pretty decent first half before being withdrawn at half-time so boss Ian Holloway could introduce Conor Washington.
Did very well against the prolific Tammy Abraham, who was taken off in the second half. The Rangers captain won a host of challenges, including one within seconds of coming back onto the pitch following treatment after a nasty clash of heads.
Also had a decent game at the back, especially in the second half. Dealt with Abraham well when the on-loan Chelsea youngster looked to drift away from Onuoha and try his luck against his defensive partner.
Had a typically solid and unspectacular game on his return to the starting line-up. Recovered well after a first-half error to deny Abraham with an important tackle.
Worked extremely hard defensively but had very little joy up against Joe Bryan, who had an excellent game at full-back and gave Wszolek nothing. The Pole did set up a first-half chance for Ryan Manning.
Neat and tidy but made very little real impact on the game as City dominated for large spells.
Sent a first-half shot over but did little else of note on a disappointing day for the R’s.
Not at his best but was involved in some of Rangers’ best moments against his former side, including during a first-half spell in which he combined with Wszolek to create an opening for Manning.
Lively at times. Sent in a couple of dangerous first-half crosses, one of which just evaded Matt Smith, and in the second half he was denied by a fine save.
Worked hard up front although nothing went his way. Was unable to connect with a cross from Ngbakoto and had a header saved. Cleared off the line at the other end in the second half.
Impressed after being brought on for the second half. Fired into the side netting and set up Rangers’ goal for Idrissa Sylla.
Barely touched the ball after coming on but proved again that he is a goalscorer. His goal – a close-range finish in injury time – was his ninth of the season despite his limited game time.
Wasn’t able to make much of an impression after being brought on for the final 20 minutes.

Bristol City fan here.
Very surprised with those ratings. The only players I would have given 7 was freeman the African winger and Onuoha, who was my MOTM. Matt smith was a 5 at best!
As for your away following it was very quiet but then you didnt have much to cheer.
Best performers yesterday were again the QPR support. The only part of the club not to give up. Well done boys ( and girls) . QPR must be saving a fortune in win and clean sheet bonuses.
Where did all these 6's come from ? As Ollie said it was one of Rangers worst performances, and there has been more than a few. Players disinterested and last to the ball. Ollie may have been disappointed with them but I saw little motivation from him either. An example was during Nedum's injury (4mins) , the city manager had his players together giving them instructions a full 1.5 mins before Holloway thought it may be a good idea if he did the same. My smallest lad left the ground nearly in tears ( he gave up the chance to go to Bristol AirHop with his brother instead the chose to watch the game and wished he hadn't ) , do you know what, I wish I'd gone to airhop too! I'm sure the people who give out the socks at airhop would have had more commitment and enthusiasm than Rangers yesterday.
