Millwall v QPR player ratings

Nahki Wells scored both goals as QPR clinched a fourth consecutive league win and moved up to fourth in the Championship table. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 2-1 victory at Millwall.

Joe Lumley: 7

Kept his place despite a bad mistake against Luton and he responded well, turning in a solid performance as Millwall pumped high balls into his area.

Todd Kane: 7

Did well defensively and was involved in the build up to both Rangers goals. Looks a good addition at right-back.

Toni Leistner: 9

An absolutely brilliant performance from the German, whose faultless display at the back was a crucial factor in the victory. He won countless balls in the air as Millwall sent ammunition towards former QPR target man Matt Smith. Again and again Leistner intervened.

Yoann Barbet: 7

Prone to the odd mistake this season, but this was better from Barbet, who kept his concentration against a team determined not to let him settle. One second-half header away when under big pressure was a highlight of his performance.

Ryan Manning: 7

His switch to left-back began at Millwall last season and again he stopped numerous crosses at The Den – vital against a team so reliant on getting balls into the box.

Geoff Cameron: 8

A welcome return to the team. Cameron did a fine job in front of the defence and his commitment was summed up by a brilliant block in the first half. We was calm on the ball and gave Millwall very little in midfield.

Dom Ball: 7

Also had a good game screening the back four. Gave away possession on the odd occasion but overall he did very well.

Ilias Chair: 7

Found the going tough in the first half but grew into it, showing real maturity to find a way into the game and keep his composure after a difficult, physical start. He found pockets of space in the second half and was involved in the move which led to Rangers’ first goal.

Ebere Eze: 8

A delight to watch against the club that inexplicably released him as a teenager. Great skill and movement and always posed a problem for the home defence.

Nahki Wells: 9

Two goals and another terrific all-round contribution from the in-form striker, who has now scored four goals in two games and six this season. Great finish for his first goal and a gift for his second.

Jordan Hugill: 7

Denied by a last-ditch Shane Ferguson block in the first half after being set up by Chair. A somewhat frustrating afternoon for him in front of goal but he worked hard and his link-play was very good.
