Fulham 2 QPR 2
QPR came back from two down in the derby at Craven Cottage, where Pawel Wszolek’s late equaliser earned them a point.
Tom Cairney struck just after half-hour mark and Lucas Piazon in first-half injury time to put promotion-chasing Fulham within sight of a fifth consecutive victory.
But Massimo Luongo pulled a goal back seconds before the interval and Wszolek levelled with nine minutes remaining after dispossessing Dennis Odoi.
Fulham dominated the first half and went ahead courtesy of Cairney’s third goal of the season.
After Piazon intercepted Luongo’s pass to Luke Freeman, Stefan Johansen found Cairney and the Whites playmaker galloped forward before shooting through the legs of Joel Lynch and beyond keeper Alex Smithies from 25 yards out.
Fulham doubled their lead following a lovely passing move.
Ryan Fredericks pulled the ball back from the right and Ryan Sessegnon teed up Piazon, who fired home.
However, Rangers responded immediately, with Luongo hooking the ball in after Freeman’s free-kick had been laid off by former Fulham man Matt Smith.
As Fulham looked increasingly anxious, Smith missed a great chance to equalise midway through the second half when he shot straight at keeper Marcus Bettinelli after being put through by Luongo.
But Wszolek made no mistake after Odoi’s blunder, slotting past Bettinelli and dealing a significant blow to Fuham’s promotion chances.
