John Eustace felt QPR proved their doubters wrong with their performance against Millwall.
Rangers, thrashed 4-0 by Norwich on Saturday, and having won just once the league since Boxing Day, edged closer to Championship safety by picking up a point in tense goalless draw at The Den.
Eustace, in caretaker charge following the recent sacking of Steve McClaren, said: “It was important that we had a reaction from Saturday.
“The boys showed that – their attitude was fantastic and you could see the togetherness there. It was very pleasing.
“You could see the boys out there were together, committed for the club. It was a very good performance on our part.
“It was a proper group effort tonight. There were a lot of people probably doubting us – doubting the commitment of the players and all that kind of stuff.
“I can assure you that tonight’s performance showed that the club are together and the players are together.”
The draw moved Rangers six points from the relegation zone with five matches of the season remaining.
“We’ve got five massive games to come,” said Eustace.
“If the lads show the same commitment they did tonight then hopefully we can get enough points to stay in the league.”
