QPR returned to winning ways by beating Blackburn 4-2 at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.
A largely quiet home league debut for the goalkeeper.
Mopped up nicely on a few occasions Rangers were troubled in the first half. Solid.
Continued his recent good form with another composed display at the heart of the defence.
Excellent on the ball and a capable defender, but still prone to lapses. Boss Mark Warburton defended him for giving away penalty, arguing Barbet had to make the challenge. The challenge was nevertheless poorly timed and the error far from a one-off.
Superb stuff from Manning – arguably his best performance for the club so far and there have been a few belters to choose from. He was involved in three of the goals, combining with Ilias Chair for two of them before delivering the perfect cross for Jordan Hugill to head home. Brilliant.
Not quite at the level he showed at times last season, but he did show how much he can be missed in midfield when he’s either not in the side or is deployed at centre-back. Did an important job in helping Rangers keep control of the game.
Also performed an important role in the middle of the pitch. Laid on the third Rangers goal for Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Took his goal well after being sent through by Manning. His overall performance highlighted his development in the last year or so; full of flair but also maturity and an ability to take up the right positions and also to track back when needed.
Often involved in Rangers’ best moments, including the build-up to a couple of the goals.
Scored and was always a threat before going off immediately after restoring his team’s two-goal cushion.
An emphatic finish – his seventh goal of the season – set the ball rolling for a fine win. He was sharp throughout led the line really well.
Missed a decent chance after coming on as a substitute but made no mistake with a firm header from Manning’s cross – his sixth QPR goal.
Neat and tidy during his 18 minutes on the field.
