QPR v Bolton player ratings
QPR moved 11 points clear of the relegation zone by beating Bolton at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 2-0 win.
Alex Smithies: 8
Produced two excellent at crucial times to keep his side in the game.
Jack Robinson: 7
His long throws caused all sorts of problems for the visitors and the defender nearly got himself on the scoresheet early in the match with a good effort that was held by Ben Alnwick. Defensively he was excellent again.
Nedum Onuoha: 7

A tidy performance from the skipper, who had a very decent game.
Joel Lynch: 8
Tidy at the back and worked hard throughout, particularly when the visitors went down to 10 men, as he tried to provide another attacking option on the left-hand side. He was rewarded with the goal that broke the deadlock for the R’s.
Pawel Wszolek: 7
Had a lot of joy on the right-hand side with some smart crosses that very nearly provided his side with opportunities to take the lead. Worked hard as always.
Massimo Luongo: 7
A couple of early nervous touches aside, this was a welcome re-introduction to QPR’s midfield for the Australian. His neat footwork and tidy passing created openings, including one for himself, but Alnwick was equal to his low effort.
Josh Scowen: 6
Solid enough from the dependable midfielder, but he was guilty of a few misplaced passes in key areas that went unpunished.
Luke Freeman: 6
Worked hard and always looked to create, but not a lot came off for Freeman until his free-kick helped set up the first goal.
Jake Bidwell: 7

Sacrificed after Bolton were reduced to 10 men, but it had been a good performance from the left-wing back, whose crosses created problems in the first half.
Conor Washington: 6
Struggled to make anything of limited opportunities that came his way as his side showed a more direct approach to their attacking play.
Matt Smith: 8
Returned to the starting line-up and he was a nuisance throughout. Smith threatened with a number of headers in the first half – one of which required the best of Alnwick to stop QPR going ahead. Two found their target in the second half though – the first an assist for Lynch’s opener and the second, a goal of his own in the final moments.
Paul Smyth: 7
A lively cameo that included an assist for Smith’s late goal.
