QPR’s unbeaten run was ended by a late Blackburn penalty at Ewood Park. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 1-0 defeat.
Let the ball slip through his hands in one nervy moment in the first half but also produced a fine early save to deny Danny Graham.
Another excellent performance from the veteran right-back, whose positional sense and reading of the game were impeccable. Won numerous challenges and his timing was consistently spot on when tucking inside to cover his centre-backs. Had his hands full because Blackburn were strong on his flank, but he received plenty of help from Pawel Wszolek and Josh Scowen.
Bailed out by Joel Lynch after the German’s first-half lapse handed Graham a sight of goal. Leistner was otherwise very good at the heart of Rangers’ defence.
Played brilliantly and was unlucky to be on the losing side. Won countless challenges, the pick of the bunch being a superb tackle to thwart Bradley Dack in the first half.
Had a very decent game at left-back. Defended solidly and delivered a fine cross to Nahki Wells, who was unable to capitalise.
Competed very well in midfield on his return to the side. Was having a tidy game before his challenge resulted in the all-important penalty. Played a key role in keeping Rovers at bay up to that point, including when he often drifted to the right to help Rangel.
Worked hard in midfield but was sloppy on the ball at times.
Got through some sterling defensive work but was poor in an attacking sense, often giving the ball away and hesitating when in promising positions.
Not his day. Lost possession several times and made very little impact before being replaced by Matt Smith, who also offered little during his 13 minutes on the pitch.
Very quiet by his standards, although he did go close with a first-half effort which flashed just wide.
A frustrating afternoon for the hardworking striker, who was unable to take a couple of half-chances. The penalty against Rangers seemed especially harsh in light of the fact that Rovers’ Derrick Williams got away with repeatedly fouling Wells without being cautioned.
