QPR take young Arsenal defender on trial
Arsenal youngster Chiori Johnson played for QPR’s development side in a match against Bristol City on Tuesday afternoon.
West London Sport revealed on Tuesday morning that right-back Johnson, 20, had joined the R’s on trial and would feature in the game at Harlington along with Henry Ochieng, who has been on trial for the last couple of weeks.
QPR lost the game 4-2 despite Aramide Oteh giving them an early lead. Striker Odysseus Alfa scored the home side’s other goal.
Johnson, who recently had a trial at Blackburn Rovers, can also play at left-back or as a central defender.
He is looking to rebuild his career following a long-term knee injury, before which he was a regular for Arsenal’s Under-23 side.
Midfielder Ochieng, 19, is a former West Ham trainee who is looking for a new club after leaving Leyton Orient.
