Fernandes hits back at critics after QPR beat Sunderland

Tony Fernandes again posted on Twitter to respond to his critics following a QPR win.

Rangers beat bottom side Sunderland 1-0 at Loftus Road, where visiting goalkeeper Jason Steele was sent off.

It followed a 1-1 draw at home to Derby in midweek and Rangers co-chairman Fernandes savoured the win, citing “abuse” he had previously received from fans unhappy at the state of the club.

  • Sorry Tony I know we have problems with the ffp but I dont think its to much to ask the club to buy a proven goalscorer and not rely so much on the youngsters as good as they are, one proven goalscorer would make a massive difference to the team

  • patience patience, we are doing the right thing. throwing money about as not worked get behind the board you rsssssssss

  • Whoever said I am against the owners or the management of my club are very wrong to say it's in my name. If you don't agree with the way the club is run it's your opinion not mine or most fans for that matter.

  • I've been a Rangers fan for than 60 years, and Tony Fernandes is the best chairman that I've seen in my time. It's probably fair to say that he was also the least experienced, but he clearly learns quickly and has built a good management team. These things take time, but I for one am glad to see Rangers players in positions of authority at Loftus Road and fail to see what is achieved through puerile abuse of the chairman.

  • All the focus on youngsters just takes away the spotlight from the owners, stop trying to be a friend to everyone, sack les and his team and don't be scared to carry on sacking until you got a management team that will take the club forward, don't understand how qpr can be the only rich club to make such a mess of things and guess air Asia would have gone out of business if operated in same way, let's get a grip

  • Tony, Les, Ian and the rest of the QPR Team keep up the great work of developing the youngsters. Sadly most QPR supporters have very little patience. Definitely going the right way.
