Fabio says he is keen to prove his worth to Sir Alex Ferguson by establishing himself in the QPR side.
The defender, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, recently recovered from a troublesome back problem.
He could well start Saturday’s derby clash with Fulham ahead of Jose Bosingwa.
And Fabio believes playing a full part in Rangers’ fight against relegation may convince United boss Ferguson he could be a first-team option at Old Trafford next season.
“I would like to show that I could play for United when I go back,” Fabio told West London Sport.
“At the moment though my concern is QPR, because we have not won and we need to get points.
“It’s been very frustrating for me and I want to help the team get the wins we need. Then maybe I will go to United and play there.
“Harry Redknapp has been great since he came here and I just want to help QPR as much as I can.”

By all means, Fabio.
If it means that lazy, money grabbing, couldn't care less about QPR mercenary Bosingwa never starts for us again then I'm all for it.
You go prove yourself, young man.
