QPR have offered former Chelsea man Yossi Benayoun a trial.
The 33-year-old Israel international has been without a club since his contract at Stamford Bridge expired at the end of last season.
Several clubs, including QPR, were approached about signing him during the summer, when he was looking for a two-year deal.
With Benayoun still a free agent, his representatives are touting him for a move back to England and suggested Rangers are among a number of Championship sides interested in him – leading to reports that he is on his way to Loftus Road.
He has been offered the chance to train with the R’s, who this week signed Oguchi Onyewuon on three-month deal as cover after the United States centre-back spent time training with them.
Having made his name in the Premier League with West Ham, Benayoun was at Liverpool before a £5m move to Chelsea in 2010.
He made only one league start in a three-year spell with the Blues, during which he was loaned to West Ham and Arsenal.
