John Eustace says he does not know if he will still be in caretaker charge at QPR for Saturday’s home game against Swansea.
Eustace has presided over a 4-0 defeat at Norwich and a 0-0 draw at Millwall since being placed at the helm following the recent sacking of Steve McClaren.
Tim Sherwood is director of football Les Ferdinand’s first-choice replacement for McClaren, who was dismissed last week. Gary Rowett, Mark Warburton and Michael Appleton are also currently front-runners.
And Eustace is unsure whether a new manager will be in place by the weekend.
He said: “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask Les. They’re searching for a manager and as long as I can help the club, that’s all I’m worried about.
“I’m here until I’m told otherwise. I’m not thinking about that now – all I’m thinking about is each day and each game I’m in charge. It’s up to the club what they want to do then.”
