Hogan Ephraim says he was disappointed not to be given an explanation for being overlooked but accepts QPR’s strong start to the season means he now cannot expect a recall.
The 25-year-old, who has not started a league game for Rangers since April 2011, returned from a loan spell with Toronto FC during the summer and hoped to re-establish himself at Loftus Road.
But he has been snubbed by boss Harry Redknapp and admits he needs to move on, with a loan switch to Wolves possible option.
Ephraim said: “To be honest the one thing that has really disappointed me has been the lack of clarification about why I’m not playing.
“It has been extremely disappointing not to be involved. I came back from Canada hoping to play and it just hasn’t happened and there’s been no explanation about why.
“I’m an experienced player and in terms of ability I feel I can play in the Championship and my team-mates tell me that every day.
“In terms of attitude – being the right sort – I don’t think anyone I’ve worked with would say I’ve not got a good attitude.”
But he added: “To be fair, the team have started the season really well.
“The lads who have played have been excellent and I’m not really in a position to go knocking on doors.
“I signed for QPR when the club was bottom of the Championship and I had the pleasure of winning the title and being promoted.
“That was a great time in my career and nothing will take away the memory of that. I do care about QPR and would never want to say anything bad about the club.”
