QPR are set to call time on Kieron Dyer’s unsuccessful attempt to relaunch his career at Loftus Road.
The former England international, 33, joined Rangers last summer after being released by West Ham, where he was beset by injury problems.
But he was stretchered off with a foot injury only four minutes into his debut on the opening day of the season and has since been ruled out for the rest of the campaign, casting doubt over whether he has a future in the game.
Former manager Neil Warnock was happy for him to remain at the club despite Rangers having an option to terminate Dyer’s one-year contract.
But it now looks as though there will be a parting of the ways sooner rather than later, with Dyer’s fruitless spell in W12 likely to be brought to an end.
