Larkeche’s loan move to Dundee confirmed

QPR left-back Ziyad Larkeche’s season-long loan move to Dundee has been confirmed.

The 21-year-old Frenchman, who was previously at Fulham, returned to west London to join Rangers last summer after leaving Barnsley.

However, he started only three league matches and ended the season behind both Kenneth Paal and Morgan Fox in the pecking order and boss Marti Cifuentes was willing to let him go.

Paal could also be on his way out of Loftus Road.

West London Sport recently revealed that Watford are interested in the Dutchman, who is now in the final year of his contract. Juventus’ Gianluca Frabotta has been lined up as a potential replacement.

Meanwhile, Rangers look likely to finalise the signing of midfielder Jonathan Varane in the next couple of days.

Cifuentes has suggested QPR need to sign more attacking players – and admits there is a “big question mark” over whether Ilias Chair will play for the R’s against West Brom in their first match of the new campaign.

And Lyndon Dykes is being assessed after going off injured during Saturday’s pre-season friendly at Reading.
