QPR complete signing of winger Wheeler
QPR have completed the signing of winger David Wheeler from Exeter City.
West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers had tabled a bid for Wheeler, 26, and subsequently also revealed that the offer had been accepted.
Wheeler, who joined Exeter from Staines Town in 2013, has signed a three-year contract at Loftus Road.
He has made 151 league appearances for the Grecians, scoring 33 goals – with 21 of them coming last season.
Rangers boss Ian Holloway told the club website: “We’re delighted to bring David in.
“He had a great season last year, and if you look at him, he has progressed every year. That’s what we want him to continue now he’s at QPR.
“He has got a fantastic work ethic, he gives us an attacking threat, and he’s got versatility as well, which is so important in the modern game.
“I want to give him a chance at this level. So many promising players don’t get this sort of opportunity, and I believe he’s going to take to it like a duck to water.”

I hope the signing comes off but its a big step up, if it dont the fee wont be too high and he will have a sell on value, which is why i don’t understand bringing in Baptiste and Lua Lua bit part players blocking young talent coming through. We are not aiming for promotion but just to tread water until those young players come through as the parachute money and income from gate receipts fall and contracts of the highest page run out

A right footed striker but a left leg that’s not just for standing on
A lot of potential talent I just hope it can develop at Loftus Road
