Hall missed game ‘to focus on training needs’
QPR’s head of medical services Dr Imtiaz Ahmad has told the club website that Grant Hall missed an Under-23 match this week “to focus on his specific training needs.”
Hall, who missed most of last season with a knee problem, returned to first-team action by playing just over an hour of the recent Carabao Cup win against Bristol Rovers.
He was then expected to feature for Rangers’ second string against Burnley but was not selected.
“Grant played 65 minutes against Bristol Rovers and was due to be involved for the Under-23s on Monday but we took the decision to take him out of that to focus on his specific training needs,” Ahmad said.
“After such a lengthy time out it is important we move at the correct pace with Grant’s rehab. It shouldn’t be too long after the international break before he is available for selection.”
Meanwhile, QPR midfielder Josh Scowen is set for a swift return to action after a minor knee problem but Olamide Shodipo faces another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
