QPR waiting for Akindileni signing to be rubber-stamped

QPR have agreed a deal for Aberdeen’s teenage defender Timothy Akindileni but might have to wait until the summer for the signing to be rubber-stamped.

Rangers hoped to bring in Akindileni, 17, before the recent transfer deadline, but administration issues have delayed the signing.

The club are therefore waiting to discover whether he must now wait until the end of the season to make the move to west London.

Akindileni is a 6ft 4in left-sided centre-back who was signed by Aberdeen in 2023 after impressing during a trial.

He will initially play for QPR’s development side.
