QPR defender Anton Ferdinand has tipped Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson to reignite their strike partnership this season.
The pair often linked up to great effect during their time together at Fulham – not least when Johnson netted a hat-trick in the Whites’ 6-0 drubbing of Rangers at Craven Cottage last October.
And Ferdinand believes they can produce the goods again now Johnson has joined Zamora at Loftus Road.
“They’re deadly – a really good pair,” said Ferdinand, who is in the running to take over as R’s captain.
“We’ve got [other] strikers. There’s competition up there. We’ve got Djibril Cisse, Adel Taarabt, Jamie Mackie – we’ve got a lot of options.
“To have a known goalscorer like Andy and the likes of Djbril and Bobby means the future’s looking bright for the club.”

hmmm!!! Stench of jealousy. Worry bout your own team. Zamora and AJ gone, and now your captain is leaving. Big boots to fill. Jols management style is pushin players out the door. Is murphy gone too? Trouble ahead at the cottage.
Good job Johnson is a footballer and not a farmer then!
