Samba Diakite is struggling to be fit for QPR’s crucial match against Stoke.
The midfielder, who missed the 6-1 drubbing at Chelsea, has been laid low by a virus and has not been able to return to full training this week.
He will be assessed before Sunday’s game but on Friday morning it was looking unlikely that he will be available to face the Potters.
His absence would be a major blow for Rangers, who desperately need a victory as they battle against relegation.
“We’re still waiting on Samba,” manager Mark Hughes confirmed.
“He’s had a virus that has knocked him for six a bit. We’ve been going easy on him and trying to build him up, so he’s just been doing light training.”
