QPR 'will try to resist' offers for players - Ferdinand

Les Ferdinand insists QPR will try to resist offers for their star players in the summer transfer window.

There has been speculation regarding the futures of the likes of Rob Dickie, Ilias Chair, Rob Dickie, Lyndon Dykes and Seny Dieng throughout the season.

But Rangers boss Mark Warburton told West London Sport earlier this month there'd been little concrete interest in January because he did not believe the money was there for Premier League clubs to spend on domestic transfers.

But Rangers director of football Ferdinand expects that won't be the case in the summer.

“The reason that wasn’t there is because I turned my phone off every now and again,” Ferdinand joked.

“I was ignoring those sort of calls because we didn’t want to lose any of our players."

He added: “We’ve got some good, young and exciting players who I’m worried come the end of the season people will be knocking on the door and wanting to take them.

“We’ll try to resist as much as we can.”
